Executive resume writer first, with the career strategy built in. CMRW and CERM, one of 20 people worldwide who hold both, with 3,000+ engagements.
Three tracks: Executive, Board, and Private Equity. I know what retained search partners read in the first six seconds, what a nominating committee reads first, and what a sponsor skips to. And I know the difference between a document that gets filed and one that gets a call.
What I Do
I build the narrative that makes a search partner stop scrolling. That means a resume that passes ATS and still reads like a person wrote it, and a LinkedIn profile that generates inbound messages. It means a value statement letter that lands on a CEO's desk and does not get recycled, a board CV and biography a nominating committee reads twice, and a PE resume a sponsor can underwrite.
I started in journalism, with a degree and a background in the field. Next came tech PR in London, from humble beginnings, then global corporate at SAP, then a blockchain startup. Resumes were the constant through every one of those chapters. Clients have trusted me to deliver at every level: the CEO of a global tech giant, top C-suite executives at major banks, founders, leading professionals in their fields, recognized global leaders, and board presidents, many of them carrying multi-billion-dollar scope. Now resumes are my passion and the core focus of my work. Alongside them sits an interest in business as a whole: all industries, all people, and all functions.

I don't outsource. Every document is built from scratch, in your voice, for the specific market you're targeting.

The Outcomes
Read the four case studies: the gap, the work, and the outcome →
Three Tracks
Three readers, three different documents. Pick the track by who will read the document. Most clients are on the Executive track; Board and Private Equity are their own tracks, or add-ons to any package when you are running two searches at once.
Operating leaders targeting their next role at a public, private, founder-led, or sponsor-owned company, in any function: CEO, CFO, COO, CRO, CMO, CHRO, CIO, CTO, GC, GM. Most of my clients are here, including the VP making the case for a C-suite title for the first time.
That you can run something. They show the scope you have owned, results with the lever behind them, and a summary that reads like someone a search partner wants to call.
Sitting and former executives pursuing a board seat, directors adding a second or third, and leaders building a portfolio career. A nominating committee reads for governance judgment, committee fit, and independence.
That you can govern. They show your oversight, the committees you qualify for, the regulatory and capital-markets exposure you bring, and the temperament that holds a room steady when the news is bad.
Sold as its own track, three tiers, or as the Board Director add-on to an Executive or PE package.
Executives moving into a PE-backed portfolio company, operating partner candidates, and large-company leaders whose record has to be reframed for a sponsor who reads for one thing: can this person move EBITDA inside the hold period.
That a sponsor can underwrite you. The resume is reordered around EBITDA, cash conversion, exits, and hold position, with owned kept separate from advised. The PE/VC letter speaks in the sponsor's language: EBITDA bridges and 100-day plans.
Sold as its own track, three tiers, or as the Private Equity add-on to an Executive or Board package.

Change your mind before the strategy session and you get a full refund, less Stripe's processing fee. Full terms.
Below Director level? The same process runs on its own price ladder. Email adam@dreamexecutive.com and I'll send the three options.
What Each Document Does
Every piece reinforces the others. Whether a recruiter reads the resume, a board googles the LinkedIn, or a hiring manager opens the follow-up, they all meet the same person.
The opening argument. It clears ATS, reads well to the people who decide, and is framed around what you delivered.
The governance document set. A board CV that argues oversight and judgment, a 300- to 400-word board biography a search firm can paste into its summary, and a short value statement for the nominating chair. Built on the Board track.
The executive resume reordered for a sponsor: owned versus advised, hold position, value moved from entry to exit. With a PE/VC letter under 250 words that names the target precisely. Built on the Private Equity track.
A short, targeted letter that makes the case for a specific role. One letter works for four readers: the search firm, the hiring CEO, the board, and your own network. It reads like intent.
A full rewrite of the headline, About, experience, and skills. I build it after the resume is final and calibrate it to the level you're targeting, so the right people find you.
A polished third-person bio for board packages, conferences, speaking engagements, and announcements, ready when you need it.
A curated set of testimonials and references in one polished document. Sent proactively to search firms or hiring managers, it puts credibility behind your candidacy.
The closer. It reinforces fit, settles anything left open, and leaves a final impression as deliberate as the first.
Four parts that run alongside the engagement: the Orientation Pack, Your Documents (how to read and use what I build), the Search Toolkit with your Personalized Launch Plan, and Staying Market-Ready. It is the operating playbook around the documents, included in Signature and Premium. The Executive Resume Process covers the resume and letter only.
The Process
Discovery Call 30 min · free
You tell me the target, the comp range, and the timeline. I tell you which track you are on, whether I can help, and which package fits. Or skip it and reserve directly.
Reserve and Orientation Pack
Once payment is in, your spot is locked. The Orientation Pack arrives with the Executive Strategy Brief (up to 4 hours to complete). I read the brief, your current resume and LinkedIn before we talk.
60 to 90 Minute Private Strategy Session
Google Meet. We unpack your career, targets, achievements, and positioning. This call is the foundation for every document I build.
First Drafts Within 10 Business Days
Resume and value statement letter, built from scratch, with the Your Documents guide so you know what you are reading and how each piece will be used.
Revisions, then LinkedIn and the Extras
You send edits, I refine, until you type "final approved." Most clients need one or two rounds. Once the resume and letter are final, I build the LinkedIn profile, biography, dossier, and any Board or PE documents so they all say the same thing.
Final Delivery, Search Toolkit, and Launch Plan
You get the full suite in Word and PDF. Signature and Premium also include the Search Toolkit and your Personalized Launch Plan: the firms, the targets, and the outreach for the first 30 days. Your 30-day private access window starts now, with check-ins from me at day 10 and day 20.
Staying Market-Ready
Email support continues until you land. Then the Staying Market-Ready guide goes out: when to refresh, how to keep the documents current after each significant role, and a $100 credit that anyone you refer can use on their own package. First purchase, paid in one payment, $700 minimum.
Managed search (optional partner referral)
If you want hands-on help running the search once your documents are done, I can introduce you to CareerHigher. They handle the operational side: identifying roles, tailoring applications, recruiter and hiring manager outreach, LinkedIn activity, and interview prep. Before You Decide
Everything you need to know before you decide, answered plainly.
DIY produces functional documents. So does dumping your career into ChatGPT. Neither produces strategic positioning. Spelling is rarely the problem at the executive level. Documents get filtered out when all they do is describe you. That is the gap. What matters is judgment: knowing what to keep, what to cut, what to lead with, and what makes you the obvious hire for a specific kind of room. That comes from 13 years at this level.
Executive if you are going after an operating role, C-suite, SVP, VP, or GM, at a public, private, or sponsor-owned company. Board if you are pursuing a seat, first or next, on a public, private, Crown, PE portfolio, or non-profit board. Private Equity if the reader is a sponsor or a portfolio board, where the document has to be reordered around EBITDA, hold period and what you owned versus advised. Most clients are Executive. Board and PE are add-ons to any package or standalone. If you are not sure, the discovery call settles it in five minutes.
Book a free 30-minute discovery call, or go straight to a package. Once you reserve, the Orientation Pack arrives with the Executive Strategy Brief (up to 4 hours to complete). I read everything before we talk. We meet on Google Meet for 60 to 90 minutes. First drafts land within 10 business days with a guide to reading them. You send edits, I refine, until you type "final approved." Most clients need one or two rounds. LinkedIn, the biography and the extras are built after the resume and letter are final, so they match. Then the Search Toolkit and your Personalized Launch Plan go out (Signature and Premium), and the 30-day private access window starts.
No. I don't blast resumes. Mass distribution puts your name in front of hundreds of firms at once, with no context and no follow-up. At the senior level that reads as a candidate on the market, and it can close doors you'd want open later.
Your search runs on targeted outreach. Your Personalized Launch Plan names the search firms, companies and contacts that fit your target, with outreach drafts and a sequence you send yourself. One relevant introduction from you does more than a hundred cold sends from a list.
If you'd rather have someone run the outreach for you once your documents are done, I can introduce you to CareerHigher. They handle sourcing, applications, outreach, and interview prep: careerhigher.co
You work with me directly. I write every document myself. That is the whole business, and the process is built around getting one engagement right.
Two pages for most executives. A one-page board summary or biography where the track calls for it. Length serves clarity.
Probably. I have written for senior leaders across financial services, technology, healthcare, energy, consumer, PE-backed companies, manufacturing, professional services, mining, infrastructure, and government. If you are in something niche, I get up to speed fast. That is a journalism habit.
Yes. Clean formatting, targeted keywords, and a machine-readable structure get it through. From there, the job is to persuade the people who read it.
First drafts within 10 business days. Most clients land at "final approved" inside three to four weeks. Rush options are available if your timeline is tighter.
Unlimited revisions until you approve the final version. Nobody can promise interviews or offers. If your search hasn't moved by day 30, we read the pattern together and adjust the documents or the plan. Email support continues until you land. The full terms are on the terms page.
Payment is by card through Stripe, in USD or CAD, or by invoice on request. Where a two-payment plan is offered, the second instalment is charged to the same card one month later, and final documents are released once both are paid. If your Strategy Brief is not back within 30 days of payment, the engagement pauses and your spot goes to the next client; it restarts when the brief arrives, subject to availability. Revisions are unlimited until final approval. Once you approve a document as final, later changes are a refresh, priced a la carte. The price you paid is the price. Details are on the terms page.
Every package includes 30 days of active private access after I deliver your final documents, with a check-in from me at day 10 and day 20. During that window I am on hand for tweaks, interview prep, recruiter conversations, and search strategy questions. After the 30 days, email support continues until you land.
Yes, the same way a top architect uses CAD or a top surgeon uses imaging. The strategy, narrative, and judgment in your documents come from me. AI helps me research faster, stress-test phrasing, and check for blind spots a human writer might miss alone. It does not decide what matters in your career. What you receive is human-led and uniquely yours: no AI watermark and no detectable pattern.
Completely. Nothing leaves the engagement without your written permission. I work with executives in active roles all the time. Discretion is the default.
Private clients consistently land interviews at target level. Most end up with multiple competing offers. Recent outcomes include three competing COO offers in seven weeks, a $1.9M CEO package with two competing offers, two Chairman seats plus a retained advisory role for a PE operating partner, and a unicorn board seat for a serial founder in the same week as a $250M close. Your results depend on your market, timing, and how you run the search. Strong documents give you the best possible shot. The four cases are written up on the results page.
About half my clients are in the US. The rest are in Canada, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. Everything runs on Google Meet and email, and you can pay in USD or CAD.
Because each engagement gets real research, real thinking, and real iteration. Scaling past eight means hiring junior writers, and that kills the result.
Yes, included in the Signature and Premium packages. A full rebuild: headline, about, experience, skills, and a strategy note for ongoing activity, written after your resume and letter are final so all three say the same thing. Recruiters and board members check LinkedIn before they ever pick up the phone.
Book one. It takes 30 minutes, it is free, and there is no obligation. We talk about your situation, I tell you whether I think I can help, and you decide what is next. Most clients book a call before paying anything.
